When I first attended, Toast was a women's community group started by Jam Joseph, a student at Point Loma Nazarene University. Upon graduation, Jam decided it was time to pivot the spirituality-based content and evolve Toast into a co-ed philosophy group. Toast was a place to learn and share from all backgrounds and beliefs. As Jam put it, "humans attempting to acknowledge our radical entanglement with and to and for one another."
I was lucky to work closely with Jam to develop monthly design themes that advertised weekly events and shared community content. We worked closely on Toast projects from June 2019 to June 2020.
